IT criminal law/cybercrime

IT criminal law is a generic term for any offences committed by means of information technology (IT). As such, it also comprises a multitude of “conventional” offences, such as fraud, committed on the World Wide Web. Likewise, money-laundering offences are also increasingly shifting from the physical to the online world – at least according to the prosecuting authorities.

Moreover, IT criminal law also includes a number of offences that are directly related to information technology systems, such as data espionage pursuant to section 202a of the Criminal Code.
