Commercial criminal law

General commercial criminal law covers all offences against property that are punishable under the Criminal Code, including fraud pursuant to section 263 and embezzlement pursuant to section 266, to name but a few.

Anyone engaging in an entrepreneurial activity runs the risk of being – sooner or later – exposed to any of these allegations if certain business decisions are re-evaluated in retrospect. The risk of hindsight bias on the part of the prosecuting authorities and criminal courts is particularly high in this area.
